Tired of paying for Department Store Cosmetics? Me too!
I normally use Laura Mercier. I am completely satisfied with the purchases of Almay Smart Shade and have been recommending it to everyone.. including my 19 yr old niece and 50 yr old sister in law. I also review high end cosmetics on Makeupalley..(for over 8 years now) I can honestly say on a budget or not, Almay Smart Shade Concealer and Foundation Rocks! No more department store shopping with snobby sales associates for me. I am 42 and tired of dealing with them.. Walgreens has it 40% off every now and then.. plus coupons! Stunned by the quality at this price !!!
I was referred to this brand from the "About" website that offers reviews of just about everything. I went to Kmart and bought the Light shade because I have very fair skin. This Almay Smart Shade Anti-Aging Makeup is very inexpensive in comparison to other foundations.Got home and tried it on over a primer. First I was surprised at the white coloring but, using my foundation brush, it smoothed out very quickly and"became" my second skin (only lovelier). I'm 72 and have been looking for a long time for a foundation suitable for mature skin. Requirements were that it (1) not be cakey, (2) not accentuate wrinkles, (3) evened out skin tone so that there were no red or ruddy areas, (4) had a slight "glow" to it without being greasy or shiny, and (5) allowed blush and contour powder to go on easily.This makeup is just fantastic. I'm unloading all my tinted moisturizers, baked foundations, liquid foundations, and powders -- and tidying up my vanity table...

Wow!
I didn't believe this foundation would make a difference in the texture and color of my skin. I'm in my late 40's, pale skin with slight rosacea. This is the perfect foundation for me - the skin tone is exactly what I'm looking for - coverage and "no makeup" look. I'm throwing away my foundation I purchased in Japan - and replacing it with this product. Thanks!

Nightly Skin Care While You Sleep
I bought this as my skin seemed dry, washed out, rough and I hadn't had a facial in years. I'd read a dermatologist say that you don't have to pay boutique prices for boutique expensive skin care because the big companies like Olay spend a lot on research and development--they have big budgets, sell a lot, and their products have to be good.I put this on at night and within a few days my skin was smooth, brighter, not rough and tighter. I hadn't anticipated that last feature. I feel like I'm getting a mini-facial or peel while I sleep. I was thrilled with the results, and am going to buy some more Olay products. I feel like I'm taking good care of my skin without spending a lot of $$$$.

This elixir is great best i have used
I recieved this item a few weeks ago, and applied it to my face at night and i could feel a big difference in my skin first time use, the next morning i woke up and the wrinkles on my forehead were gone! this elixir doesnt have a strong fragrance, it didnt break out my skin, and didnt give me a headache it has excellent ingredients like grape seed and AHA's the best i have used in a long time, ladies don't waste your money on expensive skin care items, i have had that experience before and did not work for my skin as much as this item has, OLAY keep up the good work!

Call me a bit nuts, but I really wanted to be able to see if this product worked. So, I purchased the "Anti-Aging Moisturize Night Resurfacing Elixir," and for the first six nights, applied it only to the right side of my face. To keep the experiment fair, on the left, I continued using just my regular night time product, "Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream." Please note, I am 47, have always used Olay products (though until 40, that meant the old fall back, "Oil of Olay" with or without sun screen). My skin is pretty good for my age, but I would like it to be even better. Hence, the interest in the "resurfacing elixir."After two days of use, the right side of my face looked the same, maybe the skin was a bit smoother to the touch. The Present is in a class by itself! I have never seen a facial product do more! After applying sunscreen and/or moisturizer, apply The Present. This product will make your foundation (preferably philosophy airbrush canvas) go on smoothly, and makes it adhere to your skin. LOVE IT!
Great product! It does not make my skin break-out AND after applying I don't need foundation! It gives your skin an air-brushed look, minimizes pores, evens skin tone, etc. Word of caution: Make sure your face is COMPLETELY dry and use a smaller amount than you think you need.

Good enough for now
I see a lot of rave reviews and wonder what age the reviewers are. I think it makes a difference. I was tired of the commonly available makeup in stores that target older women. They are so heavy and pasty, and look terrible as the day wears on. Rather than minimize wrinkles and fine lines, they seem to accentuate it by settling in the creases.I switched from that regimen to this along with the Philosophy powder foundation. I've been using this for about 2 months now. The primer alone is fine for weekends, but I need the additional powder for work/more formal settings. I'm pretty happy with the results compared to the above. It wears well throughout the day as well; I don't cringe when I look in the mirror after a long day at work. However, if a product is going to call itself 'perfect', it sets the bar really high for reviews. I do plan on trying some other products after I use up my current supply, so the jury is still out on this one.

Best product I have found yet!
I'm 43 and I have used several anti-wrinkle products over the last 5 years, from the least expensive to extremely expensive and have never been impressed ... until now. Perlabella Retinol is amazing! I've been using the anti-aging retinol for face for almost 3 months and love the results. Are my wrinkles gone? Heck no! I wish. But they are definitely visibly reduced ... thinner and with less depth.I use one pearl every night and my skin is so soft ... like it was when I was in my 20's.I have not tried the other products in the Perlabella line but plan to and hope that they will be equally as wonderful.

LOVE IT!
I LOVE this product! It goes on like silk and soaks in almost instantly. I was using it for my fine lines and did see improvement within about a week.I only used it in the A.M. before putting on my makeup and was still very satisfied with the results.

Perfectly Portioned Pearls of Pulchritude
Perlabella has a small line of very nice products that you can find in both 7 & 28ct portions. I'll admit the pearls are more hype for presentation than anything. And I still require a pair of sheers to open it. At the very least it inhibits you from wasting it. Encapsulated inside each perfectly portioned pearl is a silky opaque serum similar in texture & smell to some Olay products in the same price point like the Regenerist Serum, but this specifically contains retinol. This product goes on light & doesn't leave a thick residue feeling like lotions or creams can. I doll out the entire pearl onto two fingers, pair them with the corresponding two fingers of my other hand so I have some to pat on either side of my face. After dotting it about, I massage it in. Seems to be the easiest way to get even coverage. Only use them at night. You'll get better results as your skin (& body) spends it's time amidst sleep recovering from the day.
